The Abbey Tourist Hostel is located right at the heart of Ennis' historic town centre, opposite Ennis Abbey which dates back to 1248 and overlooking the majestic River Fergus. The hostel itself is situated in a beautiful rambling building which was built in 1740 originally the 'County Club' for the Lords and Gentry of the County. In the 1900's it was the Club House Hotel. Extensively renovated in 1989,it has 20 rooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 100 people.
