Valuation Surveys for Banks and Building Societies

A valuation survey is required by lending institutions to ensure that the purchase or re-mortgage property is adequate security for the amount of the loan/mortgage secured upon it. The Report is for the lending institutions information only. The report will highlight visual fundamental defects that affect valuation but does not give detailed information on the condition of the property and should not be relied upon by the purchaser. The Building Surveyor will also indicate the cost of reinstatement for fire insurance purposes in accordance with the current Society of Chartered Surveyor guidelines.
